Biography

Erika LERNOT, SOLAR singer, LUNAR shaman

Erika Lernot is a singer and shaman by birth. Initially a
singer, she was recognized as a shaman during a trip to India with
one of the Dalai Lama's healers.

Taking a break from her career as a
singer, she lived there for 2 years to follow the teachings of the
Indo-Tibetan, Nepalese and Sri Lankan lineage who recognized her. Her mother was a
healer, and she inherited the gift. She heals the wounds of the soul with
her hands and her voice. Then she realized she had to get back on stage
. She could simply be both, shaman and singer, and
bring her drum up on stage.

Even before that, Erika had been touring the globe. Her debut album,
released in 2012 on the AWIMUSIC label, is entitled 'Le Voyage'. The success of
has seen her perform all over the world:
Cape Verde, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Brazil, Cuba, India, Southeast Asia,
USA... she's almost been around the world... She has brought back in her
suitcases a strong taste for polished music, sometimes danceable, always poetic
.

Since then, she has continued to perform and collaborate with artists of
renown: Gaël Faye, Jasser Haj Youssef, Arnaud Dolmen,
Edmond Mondésir, Mishko M'Ba, Adriano Dd Tenorio, Damian Nueva...
to hone her craft and blend everything she loves: rhythms from the
world and Carribean rhythms where she comes from to vibrate, jazz,
bossa or Cape Verdean melodies, in Creole or French and, of course, the spirituality
of mantras, drums or didgeridoo that she doesn't hesitate to bring
on stage for moments of intense trance. More than a concert, it's a
treat for the soul!

In 2018, she tours West Africa with the great multi-award-winning guitarist Kunlé Ayo. In 2020, she settles in Réunion, then takes advantage of the Covid period to prepare her new album. In 2023, she collaborates on a track with Senegalese singerCheikh Ibra Fam.

She recently sang with -M- Matthieu Chedid at the Grand TEAT in St
Gilles, Réunion. She is currently writing a book about her history at
, at the same time as writing her new songs.
